The wait is a real bummer hey??!?!?!?
We have taken a 'leap of faith' , and are flying out on 15/11/07 - with no 136 visa!
I sold up the house in Dublin last year, rented for a year, the lease is up mid Nov on our rental, we both finished up work a few weeks ago.....
We (just the 2 of us- no kids) plan to stopover in Fiji (to get married!) & New Zealand on the way (4-8 weeks) - and HOPEFULLY get our 'visa granted' email in the next month or so (en route), validate in the Australian Embassy in Auckland (NZ) then on the Brisbane .......
We have done the meds & PCC's (as requested by our CO) so I figure that we have been 'approved' - subject to medicals ???
All becoming very REAL now !! Tell me we are not mad doing this!!
What do you reckon?

Hi Goat eyes, nice to see you are bitting the bullit and flying out there, what happens if you are in aus when the visa is granted, can you just fly out to validate or do you have to time it as to when it is due and make sure you are out of the country, just wondering as i fancy doing the same as you. Its just knowing when the visa is due to make sure you are out of the country.
