Maximum time from CO allocation to Visa grant
Hi,
What is the maximum time from CO to visa grant?
Is there anyone for whom characters checks has been made and it delayed the visa?
Is there any status that appears on the status page when character checks are in process.
Thanks.

The best answer I have seen on thsi subject comes from the eminent Mr Lombard - Variables involved in visa grant are both external to DIAC - your qualifications, work experience, personal background, health checks, date of application, nationality of applicant etc etc (the things that make you worry that you've been forgotten) - and internal - allocation of cases to different teams with different procedures, responsibilities and workloads, case officer absences for annual leave, sickness, training, etc .

Is there any specific status (other than - application being processed further) that appeard on status page when health checks are in progress.

Nobody knows how long it will take. Some applicants - myself included - have got a visa grant within a couple of days. Others have taken years. Pollyana does not work for DIAC, so cannot tell you how long is the longest.
