I can understand what is happening is no good for the applicants. My sympathy to all the other people who were going to apply. But this means that this is good news for people who are on CSL. This also suggests that there are going to clear CSL pending applicants by June end. DIAC must have calculated the visa qouta left this year and the number of CSL applicants who have already lodged their application and are waiting for an outcome. So it roughly comes to the equation that the pending CSL applicants and the number of visas left this year is same till today and these people can expect a grant before the new changes. I have a mixed feeling that we MAY get visas soon but some of our friends might not be able to apply till June and will get them later.
This is my personal projection about the future of CSL applicants.

Hi All,

Was shocking to see this sudden update , without any prior indications. I know lot of ppl were waiting for the new SOL to start applying. It must have been a rude shock for them. Relieved to know that existing applicants will not be affected.
As ppl have suggested here in this forum today, i too have a feeling that the existing applns may be processed under the current CSL priority and the new SOL would come into picture after the existing applicants r cleared..... Again this is my personal opinion, from what I could make out with all these recent changes in DIAC - first not announcing new SOL on time, and now this suspension of new applications.

Lets hope for the best and hope no more new surprises come up for us. All the best to all of you waiting there...!

I just got an email from my Case Officer asking me to rush to submit the PCC. She said that she is ready to Grant PR to me and my wife immediately. But it is out of my hands, I am waiting for my PCC from Indian and Malaysian goverments. Hope I get them faster

Good that means things are moving now after the stand still last 2-3 weeks.

Have you submitted PCC at Putrajaya yet? It takes 1-2 month for processing. I have translated the receipt and sent to my CO.

Do let your CO know that you have requested PCC from both country with the evidence such as receipt.

Has your status changed to ABPF or did you receive any mail from CO requesting PCC,Medicals or any docs? What is the status shown in your online status? is it still as required?
