Hi all, just jumping aboard this fast little ship


we are going on my OH as main applicant:
our timeline so far:

Collating documents : Feb 10 2008
Vetassess practical positive result : 23rd Feb 2009
E - Visa Application Filed : 175 (CSL, MODL) 4414-11 bricklayer

Me: 28, OH: 30, 2 boys: 7 and 3, i am a nurse, we are looking to go to Brisbane, just had fright of my life as agent reckons could have visa between 4 and 6 months!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

we haven't even put our house on market yet as we thought it might take at least 12 months.

we are in derbyshire

175 Online, low risk country Computing Professional (NEC) non CSL, non MODL so v v v low priority and may well be over 45 when the thing is actually granted in 10 years time zzzzzzzz!

Hi Clemon

So did you include your wife's parents in the online application? I saw there was no column to add "in-laws" inm the combo, If you add them as rents it would be a little bit confusing so what did you do?

But if i have read somewhere on DIAC website that if you have to give some other proof as age proof then you have to state that your country does not issue the birth certificate. But india does issue it. Another concern is that birth certificates are in regional language (punjabi in my case). Any body knows where to get it translated?

You remember the time you were waiting for ACS assessment. The same way I am desperately waiting for my son's Passport,my marriage certificate and filing for VISA. :(:(
It is very frustating to wait but I have to. If I were sure shot that I will get these docs in 28 days time I must have applied till now.

My r&d shows there are two ways to translate this into English.

1) Look for Professional Translators. They charge Rs. 800 for this. They keep reducing prices depending no of documents. They told me they issue some certificate as well, in which they mention there qualification etc. (in short requirement of DIAC)

2) Go to comettee from where it is issued and they will tell you procedure. Normally one affidivadit is required (which you get from court).

Do either way.

Any clues when will be assigned a case officer, I know about the mail , which says by may we will be, those who are in CSL
but i doubt if we dont get assigned and may come in quota for next year, which i think will be very less.....
