Hi,

Does anyone know what the likely timscales currently are for 136 sub-class, non-MODL.

My visa only went in about a month ago and i'm already getting impatient!!!

Not sure about non-modl. My letter of acknowledgement said processing 4-5 months.

I know that some of the December people are getting their visas through now!! So it seems they are pretty much on target.

I am really impatient too!! Just have to find some patience and wait, wait, wait!!!

4-5 months is fine with me, that's what my ack says too, just wasn't too sure how "real" that was.

Like you say, just have to wait and be patient. Easier said than done though!

Hey Janine,
Hope your hanging in here!!! We had x-rays done last Friday and Meds are booked for this Friday. Had house valued on Friday as well so hopefully will be going up at end of week. Fingers crossed. Bit of a busy time at the minute, just hope not counting our chickens!!!. Will let you know how it goes

I was thinking of posting exactly the same thing!

We've got meds booked in for 9th May, will get police checks done etc. as well and get them frontloaded ASAP. Then more waiting I guess!

Have been busy teaching myself how to write websites so we can keep friends/family etc. updated with our visa progress and also (obviously) with what we're up to when we actually get to Oz. It's coming together - have a look in my signiture for the link.... any (nice!) feedback welcome...

Hope everyone else is ok - any other news???

Thanks Nick! For a (very) first attempt I'm quite proud if it! Had a look at all of that free blog stuff you can get (wordpress etc) and considered using that but thought balls to it - we'll do our own.

Trouble is, my other half has taken on the role of 'artistic director' - looking over my shoulder, 'do it like this', 'I want it like that' etc., etc., etc.....! lol

Any links etc that you could pass my way would be great. Found a really good looking 'flash' world map that I want to implement - http://www.gregorybrine.com/index.php?pageid=3 - but can't find out how to get it. (If you follow the link to www.nomadpete.com you'll see where I got the colour scheme for our site from LOL)

Hi Graham,

Have to say the website looks really good!! I've thought about doing something like this myself!

I bought myself a diary and am keeping a log of everything in there. I've never been a 'dear diary' kind of person but have felt that this journey is worth remembering and as my children are both quite young I thought it would be ideal for them to be able to read it when they are older.

I'll maybe do a website if I ever get the time ... LOL!!!!

Good news about meds, I'm going to wait till about June time to do ours.

You lot will probably get your visas way ahead of my as you've frontloaded!!!

We/ I have done nothing at the moment in fact i am trying to keep myself very busy, i am terrible when i want something, i'm that person who wants it NOW, not now 5 mins, i mean NOW.
My theory is when they start asking i'll have to get myself into gear and things will take care of themself.

When are you guys seriously, realistially hoping to actually uping roots and move to OZ?
We, at first were targeting December so the kids could start a new school year but have decided on (this is not a we decision, i have been told on this one) a more relaxing May 2007.
I have realised this is not just a visa application but a very intensive personnal developement program and right now i feel like the boy in the corner with a cone shaped hat on the a big huge D.

Be happy its a life change not a 1 year holiday or so my wife tells me.

LOL I'm with you on that one Rich (the wanting things NOW DAMMIT! bit!). We are seriously hoping to be in Oz around October/November time (THIS year LOL). Fingers crossed we should get the visa August/September time, hopefully (if I pull my finger out) with the house on the market around July (got a fair bit of decorating still to do, oh and a bathroom to instal!).

Just want to go. We've made the decision to do it so we're pulling out all the stops to make it happen as quickly as possible. Don't think I could cope with having a visa in my passport and still hang on!!! I'd be straining at the leash LOL! Got no kids which helps I guess...
