Hubby also received an invite last night, He hasn't decided if he's going yet as he'd get lost without me, he he!! I can still remember the time I arranged to meet him in Blackpool, after three hours, I was still waiting.. he managed to end up in Hull. It still baffles me!!

the link is just to the skills4oz website. It will ( by 19th sept) contain a list of who the participants are ie recruitment agencies etc not a list of who's been invited - sorry if I misled you there. If you go to www.skills4oz.com then click on the link to forthcoming events it gives you a list of occupations they are specifically looking to recruit at this expo. If you fall in to these categories then hopefully you'll be invited.

I'm just off to see if we can get flights now. It's a bit disappointing not being able to go - don't know about anyone else but my hubbie wont ask any questions at all about anything and I'll spend the rest of the day hysterically quizzing him about who said what to whom . Nothing new there then

OP
I got my invite last night, although it's a shame the wife can't come. I am looking to take the family to oz as a fitter and am doing my TRA at the moment -not much fun when you don't like paperwork. It looks like we will all have to do a bit of preperation for the event as it doesn't look like we will have much time to chat.
If anything else it should at least give us an idea of the areas that need people and the sort of jobs on offer(you can't beat a bit of the old networking can you).

I'm assuming its taking place at AHC in London.

If so I would definitely say do not drive into Central London it will cost a fortune in congestion charges (£8 a day) plus parking fees. The tube is probably best with parking out in zone 3 or 4 (sorry don't know the west London area to advise of suitable places) or it may even be best to look at train prices for a cheap day return including a london travelcard.

I sent an email asking AHC if my wife could come along as we already have visas and both want to work, they said that they are particularly interested in people that have the visas and asked me to forward on passport details and CV and visa details. If you are in a similar position to me it could be well worth an email to them.
