We appear to have been removed from the Jan 09 applicants list!!! We were 175 but have now changed to 176 as we have got sponsorship from Queensland. As with many others we are now playing the waiting game!!! Could someone please reinstate us please

Quick update on my status - I was applying as a 175 Computing Professional and was told that I would have to wait till after 2012 until my visa was looked at.
My agent has now advised that I would be able to apply as a 176 in WA as a Project Manager, which is my profession. WA has added IT Project Managers to their skills list so there may be some hope afterall!

Thanks Safaet - I just learnt this morning that this is no longer an option for me anymore WA have removed Project Managers from their list.
Well - ACT seems to be the next option. I'll get there eventually!

Hi,

This is IQ, an International Student living in Melbourne currently. I had completed my studies in December 2008 and applied for my PR - Subclass 885, on 13-Jan-2009 and provided all the documents in a few days time. My Medicals, PCC, IELTS etc are all uploaded, hence I have done everything from my part. Its been 17 months till now and there has been no CO allocated to me till now. As u all wud know, Iam worried about it. Hope any one has suggestion on this. And any other members currently on the same platform as me? ................

send an PLE or call them and ask, i think its too late for one to be allocated for CO.

Well, I did visit the Immigration department about a month ago and asked. And the reply was "There are too many files in the pipeline and I cannot say how long will it take for ur file to come up in the line". And when I asked Is there anything I shud do, I mean any following-up procedure that I shud follow, he said "No u only have to wait & watch". Damn............ its frustating. Anyway, thanx for the advice................. Dont know how long to wait.................

At max it should take 6 months for the CO allocation looking at the current processing rate, did u apply through paper or online ?, chances are there they might have misplaced your application, something suspecius happenning there, its just my guess.

Better read the Feb 8 changes in DIAC website. There were some changes related to onshore applicants that some category visas wont be processed untill 2011. Correct details can be seen at DIAC site.
