Default Immigration Experts, Please help me!

I had some replies for my last question but I still need your help, I mean you immigration experts.

Recently, my case officer requested a new PCC as follow:

Please note that Police Clearance Certificates (PCC) are valid for 12
months from the date of issue (May 26 2007). The certificates provided previously will expire before this application is finalized. Please provide new
PCC's.

And I sent it as soon as possible. But something is making me worried; please notice to the following information:
Lodge time: Sep 22 2006 (18 months) (Skill Independent, 136, ACS)
May 26 2007: First PCC (and it is clearly still valid!)
Feb 9 2008: Second PCC (requested and sent before expiring the first one!)
(PCC's were done based on CO formal requests and letters)

Some people say that my case is going to be finalized, if that is correct why after this amount of time (today it is March 26 2008), there is no news of our Visa?
Am I entering security check phase which is for high risk countries (Iran) or it was done before new PCC request?
Is something wrong with my case?

If there is any immigration agent/lawyer here, please give me more information and some advice based on their previous cases.
Thank you very much for any information and help.

The pcc has to be valid when you are granetd the visa and when you enter Australia. That is why they asked for a new one, clearly they want to allow time to finalise the case and give you time to enter Australia .
