Default How about this for service?

Just a quick post to pass on my experience with the North Yorkshire Police.

I took our completed documentation for Police Checks to our local police station last Sunday together with relevant IDs and payment.

On Wednesday we had a letter from North Yorkshire Police saying that the requests had been sent to New Scotland Yard for processing and would take no more than 40 days etc etc.

This morning (Saturday) received the certified Poice Clearances in the post.

Less than a week to get them turned around - fantastic!!

Wow, that is quick!
Mine took 23 days (Surrey Police) and I thought that was fast.
Good Luck with the rest of your application.

Hi
Was definately express service!
We took ours to the local police stations, they photocopied our ID,took payment and issued a receipt. They aslo filled in form stating we had done this. We were told to post them ourselves.
3 weeks later, letter received from processing unit, saying we hadn't paid or enclosed documents requested(ID etc)
Was really annoyed.Phoned and complained. At first they said they were sorry but nothing they could do about the processing time we be placed at the bottom of the pile as a fresh applicant, although women very polite and said she would try her best for me.I told her I would be putting a complaint in writing in hope that someone would acknowledge the mistake on their part and process it quickly.
The next day the same lady phoned and said she had spoken to her superiors and shown them our letter and we got the Pcc check back the following morning!
So just goes to show that complaint letters do some times help.
