For renting, about the only site I know of, which will give you some
idea of prices is:

To rent, you will most likely pay for something decent at least NZ$250
A WEEK upwards.

Then there is always the good old favourite:

House prices do not appear to have stablised or fallen.
The word I have from realtors is that most houses have more than one
back up contract should the first contract fall through.
