Question Certification of docs by solicitor

Hi,

The solicitor, who has certified our documents, has written "P.V.C" on the certified copy instead of "I certify this document to be a true copy of..." and then signed and stamped.

Can anyone in the know please tell me if this would be acceptable for DIMIA (it was acceptable to IEAust)?

The solicitor explained to me that this "P.V.C" is exactly the same as "I certify..." but I am not convinced....?

Please advice as he will have to do our second lot around Christmas and we would have to instruct him differently if this is not acceptable.

Thanks in advance,

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Regards,
Janni

Whether "P.V.C." is acceptable to DIMIA will probably depend on whether your CO knows any Latin.

PVC is not a term that I've heard of, well not to do with certifying documents anyway ;o)
