Thanks for the replies to you all, just felt I had to clarify a few
points.Burglary and bad payers are not our reasons for leaving... We're not
that naive as to think there are no social problems in Aus.There are far
more important reasons , most of them have been covered at some point in
this group.

Perhaps I should have used the word "worries" instead of "second thoughts".
Maybe I was just trying for the sympathy vote and offers of employment !!

One reply sort of summed up one of the "worries". We have had a pretty good
summer ( long may it continue 'cos I'm working outside tomorrow! ) so all
the parties and barbies and sitting in the garden chatting late makes you
think there is a lot to leave.........But then you think that the nights are
drawing in and it's soon going to start to rain and blow and as soon as it
snows, even on the South coast it grinds to a halt!!

We enjoyed reading all the points of view and I personally found just a
couple of things sprang to mind....

Can't wait to go so I don't have to watch West Ham any more ( Cheers Nick
!! ) . And if they tax farts then I'd better leave the wife at
home.................
