Default Gout

We are at the visa application stage and I'm getting nervous about the meds

My hubby (main applicant) suffers with gout and take some medication (Alopurinol) each day to keep his urate levels down, which prevents an attack.

Is there anyone on here who suffers with gout who has been granted their visa? Or can anyone tell me if they think this might be an issue with DIMIA?

Thanks

Karen

Provided the cost of medication is not excessive, i don't think gout could be a hindrance to the grant of a visa by diac.
It seems the approach of diac is very cost oriented when it comes to medical issues. So long it does not exceed a certain amount $xxxxxx per year, you should not worry about.
Also i think the main concern of diac relates to T.B. - Hepatitis and HIV.
