I applied on exactly the same day as yours, 9th FEB,2009, under 175 (CSL) under 2231-79 (SAP specialisation)
I'm from HR country (China), married, aged 30, IELTS at 7.0 (All 7s except for writing at 6... Nobody told me there was marks for the format - you have to write one another line...)
Waiting to hear from a CO...

Hey, your post activated my fingers to sign up for an account on this forum otherwise I would continue the "submarine" status for quite a while.

Im from HR country ( China ) as well, application sent out on the 8th Feb 2009. But, I am not that lucky like you guys. My Occupation is only on MODL rather than CSL ( as I didnt get the 7 for all them in IELTS )
Considering to switch to 176 at this stage to fast my application tho...

Re: Hello people..
At this moment, SS is almost exhausted and FEB 09 CSL is close to being processed. There should not be much difference I suppose. Plus SS is a TR visa that has a lot of restriction after landing. If you can get a PR straight away, why bothering taking a TR with more risk later on???

Re: Hello people..
Subclass 176 state sponsored is definitely not a temporary, but a permanent visa, with no more or less restrictions than the 175 visa apart from the fact that you are morally obligated to stay in the state that sponsored you for at least two years.
