Default Evening all....

husband going ott now! Wants me to find out every little detail!! Childcare costs, jobs, housing market...every bloomin' thing! Did any of you go this far?

I just found out how much a passport costs for us...anyone know what I'd expect to pay a solicitor to certify a document? I know it will vary from place to place, but a guestamate!

Does it have to be a solicitor or can it be a councellor? Hubby works for local council, so could probably corner a councellor for free....

Hope some of you have had good news today....

Just tell him if he doesn't get off his lazy a*se & help you, then you'll be going without him!

(that's what my wife says!)

Hi Loupy,

We used our local solicitor to certify our documents. The cost varied depending on the number of documents you took. When I first went he said it would be £5 for each document. Imagine my expression when I had about 20 bits of paper!!!

However, we made a deal that he would charge per batch. Normally about 10 quid, except for one occasion when I took a huge wedge.

Good luck
Karl.

I had my docs certified by the local Police, (Sussex Police), I had to try a couple of different stations but eventually I found one that would do them, they got a bit annoyed at the number (30+) but I then only took a small number at a time on several occasions (3 trips), it used to be that DIMMA would not accept them if they were done by the police but I think the rules change last year Nov or so. hope this helps.

loupyloo,

just take all your docs to your nearest magistrates court and they will do the whole lot for a tenner, i have known it done for free but assume its a tenner and youll be right.

cant tell you about childcare costs, no children
