Errrrr. HELP
Hi as you can guess by the title of this thread we are quite new to this . Me and my wife are both in our early twenties and have been talking about moving to australia since we got married 9 months ago but we really dont know where to start. we have found lots of websites with all the relevent forms etc. but just dont know what exactly to do to get the ball rolling. I'm currently working in sales and my wife is a teacher please can anyone give us any advice on what to do? we would be very grateful
Thanks

Start by having a look here: http://www.immi.gov.au/immigration.htm
If you can get the points, the best option is a 136. (Did your wife do PGCE or GTP?)

Re: Errrrr. HELP
Hmmm, unfortunately she can't get a skills assessment as they don't accept GTP or 3yr BEd's. So you may have to investigate being the main applicant and getting your skills assessed.
Speak to one of the migration agents recommended on here for a free chat to discuss your visa options.

Lots of places now do a 3 year BEd which includes QTS, but Australia won't recognise it

Re: Errrrr. HELP
It's really not too bad - there's loads of help and advice from the people on this site - so you'll be fine.
My Husband is a Carpenter and we are applying for the 136 (skilled) visa.
You can either get an agent to do the work for you, or if you feel confident, fill in the form yourself.
We are doing it ourself, as because my Husband has the relevant qualifications, it is just a case of filling in the correct information in the right boxes. It is however, alot of paper work and alot of running around etc, whereas an Agent will do all that for you.
Just depends on what you want to do.
Have you ever been to Oz?
Sharon.
