Re: ENS Visa (121/856) (Part 3....Dec 2010 onwards)
Hi guys,
I've been following this forum thread for a while but this is my first post.
I am ready to lodge my 856 application and I am trying to provide as much information as possible and complete every checklist I can find.
One point I am stuck on is showing evidence of having worked full-time in australia for the last two years and at least the last 12 months with the nominating employer. What info did other applicants supply? Pay slips? Letter from employer? tax info?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Cheers,
Dom

Hi Dom,
You can submit pay slips, certificate of employment, group certificates (PAYG) as proof of full time employment but please be aware that your case officer may request for additional information/documents as they process your application.
cheers!

856 - Any idea of time?
We have just (finaly got round to) submitting our application for a EN 856 visa. I am in Perth and guess that the immi agent will submit in Perth. So i was wondering if anyone knows how long these are taking at the moment? A year or so ago they were going through incredibly fast - a friend had one granted in a week. But a year is a long time in immigration.

I think it depends on how complete your application is basically. If you have provided all the information and documentation needed by DIAC and they dont need to get back to you, I have known friends receive their visa grant in days. But then again, if DIAC are inundated with applications as they are at present from the boatloads arriving daily, you will just join the queue. Good Luck - hope it won't be too long for you.

Here's my case:
happy to add it to the spreadsheet:
Parramatta, 856 visa
Used an Agent (Chris McGrath), Decision Ready Application
Nomination lodged : Jan 2011
Application lodged: Feb 23 2011
(front loaded application)
received contact from DIAC on 5th May asking for my employer to ensure they were still able to employ me for a further 3 years- they've been done for bullying me recently so i think immigration were checking up on them.
panicked a bit
Nomination approved: 6th May 2011
VISA APPROVED!!!: 6th May 2011
Job title: Visual arts and crafts nec
(VFX Compositor for film/tv industry)
Low risk country (UK)

Hi guys,
This forum has helped me heaps during the long waiting period for my ENS 856. I thought I pass on my details to help anyone who is looking for timelines
My employer lodged the nomination 14 Dec 2011 in Perth
I added the application (my partner included in the application) on 9 Feb 2011
The nomination was approved 22 May 2011
my application was approved 30 May 2011 (if we had the AFP certificate instead of the general in the first place, we would have had our PR on 22 May
I am super happy and wish all of you good luck!!!

Re: ENS Visa (121/856) (Part 3....Dec 2010 onwards)
Also our 457 expired the following day as we only applied for a 2 year one! So we could only apply on the 25th as we would be illegal any time after that.....was a bit tricky as we live in Brisbane and we needed to apply in parramatta - so we had to submit in brisbane ( so we got bridging visa straight away) and immi posted down to Sydney. So really it took less than 5 working days if you take off the weekend and postage time to Sydney!
Beyond our wildest dreams. Hope yours is as fast!!! Good luck and get the bubbly chilling!!!!!
