Default ENS (visa 121/856)

If I apply for my ENS visa 856 I presume that if I ever wanted to leave my job I would need to find another employer who would take over the sponsorship. Does anyone know if there is a set time you have to be sponsored before you can have the visa on my own (not sponsored) or would you have to wait the 2 yerars and apply for citizenshpi.

Sorry if I'm not making sense

Martyn

Once you have the visa it is yours. You could leave the employer at any time after grant in theory. You no longer need a sponsor as you have PR.

Though immigration may choose to see it as fraud if you never really had any intention of staying there.

Make a sensible commitment (you sign the application form to say you intend to stay 3 years) and/or have sensible reasons to leave and I seriously doubt there'd be any trouble. Its about honest intentions not follow through.

Now the RSMS does have the facility to take your visa back off you if don't do the promised 2 years without good reason but not the ENS!!!

Oh and I think that citizenship now takes 4 yrs not 2yrs
