ENS or 175 visa quandry- any advice
We're here on NZ special what-not visas and I'm on the even worse NZ spouse visa, which we need to get off of and gain PR ASAP as I want to start uni in semester 2 without attracting international fees (which my current visa does).
I had thought the 175, but I'm anxious because it's all looking a bit off putting in terms of processing times, so I gave a migration agent a call and they suggested the ENS (we can't get state nominated because Newcastle, despite having a huge MH nurse shortage and being regional isn't eligible ) However, it seems that my dh hasn't had enough years experience (he's just entering his third, rather than having three already) and there's a section missing from the immi page that would tell us if he could get "exemption from eligibility criteria" - the skills section isn't there:
http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/skill...emptions.htm#a
He's a mental health nurse, age 30 employed on a full time permanent contract.
What do you think? Am I going mad?- is the section missing?
Thanks in advance

You should get some professional advice, but for ENS, the 3 year work experience requirement may in some cases be waived for occupations on the MODL, such as some nurses.
Also bear in mind that 175 is an onshore visa for NZ citizens (who are the main applicant). Have you looked further into that option, especially regarding points test and the Critical Skills List?

Thanks for replying JAJ- I was going to go for the 175 but am concerned about the processing times and the priority list, given we wouldn't have state sponsorship. Also, I first tried to apply for 175 online from NZ in November (I know NZ citizens can apply offshore and be granted onshore) but had perpetual problems- I need an idiots guide to applying online as I kept losing everything entered thus far.
Would you go for the 175 or the ENS route? I think for us the 175 would be cheaper.

BTW, yes his occupation is on the critical skills list (mental health nurse) and we get 120 points.
