employer sponsored visa - leasing me to another company? Please help
I hope that someone can help. My husband is possibly being offered employer sponsorship from a Company in Perth with ties to his existing one in the UK. The company has never sponsored anyone before. They have asked for me to send details, which I have from the Immi.gov.au site. However, he has been advised that during the sponsorship, if one week there is not much work, the Perth Company would allow him to work for another company that use his site premises, but do the same sort of job. This is usual in his industry (disel repairs) in the UK, but how would this work in Oz? Would he be allowed to do this under the employer sponsorship route? As he would be paid some weeks by the other company not sponsoring him. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you. Jaime.

Get them to talk to an experienced agent who has read the 14 September changes. In fact given the possibility that this could all go pear-shaped, particularly if that's your real name, I would be insisting on a lawyer to sort this out immediately. I don't doubt there will be a solution but a first-time sponsor isn't likely to find it.
