Default Defacto Citizenship

Hi

Can you tell me whether the rules have now changed for defactos obtaining citizenship and whether the time has been amended from 5 years to 3 years?

The rules haven't changed at all (they might change in 2007). And it seems you are confused about what the rules currently are - start at http://www.citizenship.gov.au

It states that you have to be a permenant resident for 2 years (but does not state whether this applies to temp spouse visa).

I've been over on temp spouse visa coming up to 2 years and should have my PR visa shortly.

How long before i can apply for citizenship? Im confused!!

At present the temp spouse time doesn't count. You need to spend a total of 2 years within Australia, on your PR visa, before you are eligible for citizenship.
