December 09 Applicants

Re: December 09 Applicants
The Minister has set priority processing arrangements which apply to the following visas from 23 September 2009:
• Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS)
• Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme (RSMS)
• General Skilled Migration (GSM) visas except for:
o Skilled – Recognised Graduate Subclass 476
o Skilled – Designated Area – Sponsored (Residence) Subclass 883
o Skilled – Regional Subclass 887.
Under the Ministerial Direction, the following processing priorities (with highest priority listed first) apply:
1. applications from people who are employer sponsored under the ENS and the RSMS
2. applications from people who are nominated by a State/Territory government and whose nominated occupation is listed on the Critical Skills List (CSL)
3. applications from people who are sponsored by family and whose nominated occupation is listed on the CSL
4. applications from people who are neither nominated nor sponsored but whose nominated occupation is listed on the CSL
5. applications from people who are nominated by a State/Territory government whose nominated occupation is not listed on the CSL
6. (i) applications from people whose occupations are listed on the Migration Occupations in Demand List (MODL) and
(ii) applications from people who are sponsored by family and whose nominated occupation is not listed on the CSL.
7. all other applications are to be processed in the order in which they are received.
With SAS_Analyst going for State Sponsorship, that is Category 2 hence his Visa progress, and your own not.
Good Luck to all

All our applications will progress at different rates due to Processing Priorities announced in Sept 09 - depending where you sit on the list, will depend on the seed on Visa Grant. The priorities are:

Re: December 09 Applicants
Hi everyone! as our group grew, I found it hard to remember or see clearly our application details and developments. So I want to share the tool that I'm using. It auto-updates when any of the tagged groupmate update their timeline. For those who want to be added to or removed from the list, please let me know.

Re: December 09 Applicants
I am from high risk country as most of you, mates. The only difference that I discovered is that my nominated occupation is Data Warehousing. This occupation seems to be not that popular as .NET or C++ or IT Security. Another possible reason might be that on 30 of December 2009 I wrote a letter to DIAC in which I informed DIAC that my application is the CSL one. Actually, I guess this letter played a main role in my case. Thus, I strongly advice you to inform DIAC that you are CSL applicants (if you are so).

Re: December 09 Applicants
wilson01 and mrmsml,
For me to include you in my Dec 2009 "mates" ticker, you either have to
1) register and add your timeline in weallwait.com. go to register
or
2) give me an email address that you can use to login to weallwait.com and receive email alerts when any of our groupmates update their timeline. i will help you register with them and will ask them to send you the password (which you can change afterwards)
please add this page to your browser's bookmark/favourites so I don't have to post the list in more than one place, the image/list auto-updates

Re: December 09 Applicants
Hello all..
I applied in late December for the defacto visa.. My case is a little bit of a strange one though so hoping it doesn't take too long.
Myself and my partner (Australian) of 5 years have a 16 month old girl. My partner and daughter went to Oz at the beginning of November as her dad was dying of cancer. My partner wants to stay there to be with her mum and i'm more than happy to move out there, having spent some time in Australia a few years ago..
Given the short amount of notice, I gathered our evidence, filled out the forms and sent everything in.. The only issue is that we have another baby due at the end of Feb!!
I made my CO aware of this and when I called the Embassy they said that given the situation they can make certain provisions to help me.. This would probably come in the form of a holiday visa so I don't miss the birth, whilst they make the decision my spouse visa application.
Before we had found out we were preganant again we had booked some flights to Oz for a holiday in Feb 2010.. So I actually have a flight booked from that for Feb 14th.. I was hoping to use it but i'm not very confident that the visa will be confirmed in time.. but you never know!!!
