Dear,
This is Najah from Bangladesh. Please add my case here too. I may b the guinea pig of the new MODL review of Australia.

I also have a query. Senior members please help. 10 years back my spouse got affected by TB which was cured by 6 months strict medication. But she have to carry the scar left by TB for her whole life. Every x-ray will have the scar exposed but it is inactive for a long time. Will it affect the application. If yes please let me know what will be the consequences of that and how to overcome such problem as the health requirement is quite strict for Australia. results are one fail all fail for immigration. I am tensed. Please let me know. I will be grateful ever.

I am not sure about it. But if the germs are killed already then there should not be any problem. Pray to God.

Evidence of active or previous TB will not, in itself, adversely impact on the outcome of the visa application.

Thankyou very much Shafiq, nameceaser, CHB. I just have applied. The speed of the CO allocation what I have seen for this time the August applicant may get their case officer allocated within 2/3 months if not the review is finalized for the MODL and CSL and Electronics Engineer is taken out.

2/3 months ....What makes you say that .....Guess u need to be lucky enough to the extreme if such things need to happen. I guess it would take minimum 5 months to get a CO what ever be the case unless u r SS or Employer sponsored

Dear Krishna, I can see that u got angry with what I have said. I was saying march 08 CO was assigned in 05/09 and march 09 was assigned in 07/09. 2 months covered all 12 months applications for electronics CSL. If this is the pace and the pending applications for CSL is also decreasing it will take less time for the remaining applications to get CO if not any country/skills based cap is there. Just dont worry. I was optimistic. It was an open ended statement. Thanks.

I lodged my application on 14th April 2009. I don't know whether I've had a CO allocated yet, I am going to send an email later this week I think, since I have to change my contact address anyway.

I completed my Medical end of June and now I'm just waiting around. I was on the April 2009 applicants Thread yesterday and someone on there seemed to think I have been allocated a CO already.

Although I was assessed by Engineers Australia as Electronics, my experience is Electrical, so I'm applying under two.

I haven't been requested to complete a Police Check form yet. Do you know how you go about this? Do you wait for a request, or just do it yourself?

Cheers,
Jim from UK
Hi jim, just a question re your skills assessment-- We live here in australia but my daughter who just got married last month does not .
Her husband is currently studying his electorial engineering degree and is starting his 3rd year in sept, he has been working on shore as a project manager for 5 years for electrical oil and gas company in aberdeen,

he has just become a contractor (self employed ) and is to be starting his skill assessment this week. any ideas as to what kind of info he needs to put down ,
He is in charge off many jobs in north scotland, bakoo and is just waiting to hear about a big job in saudi. his work can expand in australia hopefully.

He goes off shore to survey the requirements (safety lighting etc) then prices the job ,summits tenders and if sucessful sends the required engineers/rope access guys to do the job , then he returns to check their.
work. we are worried that he does not have enough hands on electrical experience.

If he does not get his skills ok and cant go for visa , then we will have to return as we do not want to be away from her when she decides to have kids. only thing is my son has applied to aussie navy so we will be torn both ways. we need for them to be here.

Any advice would be great , we will go for citizenship in march , and may be able top sponser them.

thanks in advance.

sharon
