Default con parent visa reference

On the acknowledgement letter for con parent visa the is a 'position number' , now this may seem a silly question but what does this relate to as I thought you didn't get a position number / date until you had had your pre grant letter which was when you were place in the queue if the quota for that year had already been reached.

Hi Tabby

Don't worry. The "position number" is some sort of reference number for the officer who signed the acknowledgement letter. My mother is applying for a CP visa too. The acknowledgement letter was from a lady with Position Number 123456. Another letter was from another lady with Position Number 654321. I've no idea what the Position Number is, but it has nothing to do with the applicant!

When did you make your application?

Good luck with it all - I'm sure you'll be fine. Look out for the Con Parent thread on the Barbie.

Best wishes

Gnut
