Child Migration
Hi,
I am Australian born so I have an Australian passport. My husband is British and has an Australian Permanent Visa. We are living in the UK but want to move back to Australia with our (now) 13 month old son.
I have found out that we need to apply for a children visa for him.
Does anyone have any experience of this visa therefore any tips such as things you only found out you need later on etc.
Thanks

Re: Child Migration
Child visa applications are relatively straightforward - they require little more than:
- form 47CH: http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/pdf/47ch.pdf
- certified copy of full birth certificate
- certified copy of ID page from passport
- medical examination
Feel able to telephone our office in Southampton on 023 80 30 2525 if you think you might like some assistance and would like to discuss further - ask for my colleague John Sylvester.
Best regards.

Re: Child Migration
Alternatively (and maybe preferably) your child may be eligible for Australian citizenship straightaway by virtue of you being Australian:
