Default Changing British Trade papers to Australian HELP!!

Hi there,

I was wondering if you could help point us in the right direction. My boyfriend (a British citizen) is a welder. Both of us are on a working holiday visa in Perth Australia. He is working in his trade but his trade papers are British. We have been told that he needs to change his certificate over to be Australian recognized. I have done as much research as I can but we are just unsure how to do this, as in what website to go to etc as we are already here. Any information that you can provide would be much appreciated.

I think you did mention he's a welder

Non-licensed trades will get either cert III or Cert IV (welders is a non-licensed trade)

Licensed trades get OTSR (electricians are licensed)

Both issued by an RTO under TRA - RTO Finder
