Default Can I apply for Parent Visitor Visa while holding my PR visa before landing Australia

I have applied for PR (Skilled Independent subclass 189). Hopefully, I will be receiving visa by next week. I would like to know if my parents can apply for visitor visa and travel along with me. Since I have a 1.5 year old baby, it will be very difficult for me and my wife to settle in a completely new land along with such a small kid. So, I just wanted to know if applying for my parents' visitor visa before myself landing in Australia, will affect my PR visa if we plan to land Australia all together or should I first go alone with my wife and kid and then apply for visitor visa for my parents?

Your parents can apply for a visa but I don't know if it will be successful. What visa were they considering applying for?

There is never anything to stop people from applying. Your question really is are they likely to get a visitor visa and there really is no way anyone on the forum can say.

Visitor visa (subclass 600) under Tourist stream where no sponsor is needed. Under tourist stream of visitor visa, can my parents mention that their son is PR of Australia and that they want to visit Australia for short span of 3 months along with their son to help him settle up initially?

Just did a quick search for the application form and there is a question asking for reason for visit

I was just concerned whether their applying for visitor visa before my first landing in Australia (i.e. before my PR visa is activated) will in any way negatively affect my PR visa and will it create any problem at the airport when I land for the first time?

I don't think an application for a tourist visa by your parents will affect your visa.

Your parents can't apply for a Parent Visitor visa before you land because you need to be either a citizen or a PR and you won't be a PR until you land.

However providing they are visiting for less than three months and hold British passports there's nothing to stop them from applying online for eVisitor visas.
