British Army Overseas Lateral Transfer (Aussie Army)

Re: British Army Overseas Lateral Transfer (Aussie Army)
Hi Mandy and everyone whose already been accepted (to those who have their interviews this coming week, good luck!), quick question. Is everyone else intending to try to get most of the paperwork done and dusted in time for the formal written offer then have it sent off as soon as that comes through? I was going to phone up 2moro and try and book our medicals, am I jumping the gun a bit, or is everyone else intending to get the ball rolling asap too?!

the formal offer comes through once they have recieved the letter signed saying you accept to join the oz army.
We are hoping that they will accept the letter signed, scaned and emailed to them. So it can start the ball rolling. May have to wait till they get back to oz though
Mandy
Mandy,
Just catching up on things and looking at this they are happy to accept the scanned version but you probably won't get formal offer till after they have returned home. Just thought I would save you some heartache in the waiting process.

A bloke on the ARRSE thread on Lateral Transfers posted this wee poem, which I think is just fab, so I hope he doesn't mind, but I'm going to share it with you here, to cheer us all up and spur us on!
The days are geting closer, where we migrate to the Strand.
And through the day have interviews, whilst selling our own brand.
Enter each one, with lump in throat, heart beating like a drum.
with nauseous guts, head in a spin, and feeling very numb.
With hope in heart, and nervous smiles, we wait to hear them say.
That your the one they really want, which really makes your day.
Then off t'pub for a quick pint, to celebrate the score.
then back on arrse to post your news, and webwatch even more.

Congratulations to all who got through this years interviews - you are the very lucky few as they are reducing recruitment of laterals now. We got here nearly 4 weeks ago and believe me, it is worth all the heartache and waiting!!
Any advice I can give please feel free to contact me - Jen and I are exchanging info all the time!
