Default Birth certificate with wrong name

hi: got a situation hear which i hope i can get some answers from the forum.

born in Kuwait 1957 to a British mother who was married in the U.K. to my father.
wanted to apply for citzenship on the ukm form after the change to the U.K immigration law.
my birth certificate was issued from Kuwait in Arabic with my mothers name not clear at all. I have my baptism certificate which is correct and was issued from the Kuwait church. went to registry office in Kuwait to correct the situation , was toled i must make a case which would
take a verey long time and cost a fortune since i live in Egypt at the moment.
If there is any other way around this i would love to hear about it.

Wlecome to BE but umm sorry to sound unhelpful but not sure you are going to find many people who know the ins and outs of recitfying problems around the birth registration processin Kuwait and particularly on an area of the forum for British Expats discussing immigration to Australia.

You might find some help in the returning to the UK, there are sometimes people in there that have gone through the process of getting British residency or citizenship, but most British do not, as we have never had to worry about it...

Good luck.
