I recently applied for Victoria state sponsorship (converting from 175 to 176). I'm wondering now, 8 months since applying, whether it would have made any difference now that we're nearing the front of the queue anyway.

Does anyone have any idea how long it might take for Victoria SS to come through? or what there timeline is.
Is there any other August 08 applicants applying for Victoria?

I got my acknowledgement from [email protected] after 2 weeks. The acknowledgement e-mail I got back from them stated the following:

The application will be processed and reviewed for State nomination. This process may take up to ten weeks and we will contact you to advise you of the outcome as soon as a decision has been made.

I got CO today. And status started to change to "MET".

Sanam change my CO allocation column to "Have CO" with today's date

Hi August 2008 applicants,

It's time to wake up from long sleep.

Now, DIAC has started processing of Aug 2008 (CSL only).

They have allocated CO till 10th Aug 2008 applicants.

I submitted my online application on August 8th and no sign of a CO yet for me yet. Hopefully in the week few days/weeks :-)

You might have a CO.

As i have made a Post Lodgement Enquire and i came to know that i have a CO. When i checked the Online Enquire, I found my status changed to Met in few cases. Yesterday i checked my status it was not changed....

So you can also make a Post Lodgement Enquire at:

http://www.immi.gov.au/contacts/forms/gsm/post.htm

You will get a receipt of the enquire you make and they will reply to your specific question with in 5 working days.

I doubt it. We haven't front-loaded anything so I know I'll be asked for the meds and PCCs when I get a CO and possibly some other stuff too. Still, I'm hoping it won't be much longer now :-)
