Re: April 2009 Applications
A colleague of mine, visa granted and leaving next week, used to keep his blackberry on and loud at night. Any new emails around 5 O'Clock in the morning would mean some communication from DIAC. He even received his grant letter while asleep . Imagine, what a wonderful morning would that have been for him.

Well, that varies person to person . In my case, I live in a time zone 5 hours lagging from AU. I would faithfully check my application status first thing in morning after getting to office; even before checking emails from the Boss .

Dear Sunitram and seabird thanks for being so hopeful for me.
Seabird, I checked with my agent in person adn seems he hadnt send a PLE after all.
Sunitram, i understand fully that there is no point being worried, waiting anxiously..
Wishing both of you and all other April folks all the very best

Re: April 2009 Applications
Hi guys,
I have a question. Is the outcome of my application based on at the point of my lodgement or when my case officer is allocated?
My concern is: I was doing my Master's degree for the previous year, therefore i have sufficient points at the point of lodgement but not at the point of case officer allocation.
Thanks

You're probably talking about satisfying the recent work experience, aren't you?
This requirement has to be met before lodging your application - the immi website says "for at least 12 of the 24 months immediately before lodging your visa application", so you don't have to worry.
