AOS bonds?
Hello,
Can anyone tell me what bonds are needed if say your uncle sponsors you to get extra points. Think we may be 5 points short.
Its for the permanent skilled residence.
We are two adults and four kids!
Anyone know how much or point me too a webpage please

Re: AOS bonds?
We had to invest $5000 for a family of 4 on a skilled designated area sponsered visa.

If your uncle sponsors you, you would have to apply for the 138. http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/gener...migration/138/
If he lives in a designated area you would have to apply for the skilled designated area sponsered visa.
He would then sponsor you and you would have to find someone who earns over $40k(ish) to provide the Assurance of Support.
If you can find another 5 points, it would be easier to apply for the 136 which doesn't need an Assurance of Support.

Re: AOS bonds?
You also have the option of investing $100,000 for a year in order to get an additional 5 points, have a look here:
http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/gener...investment.htm
This capital investment option is available for the 136 visa (skilled indepedent - no sponsor, no AOS, 120 points required) and 138 visa (skilled Australian sponsored - sponsor, AOS, 110 points). Both are permanent.
Have a look at:
http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/gener...ns-outside.htm
for a better description of your visa options.
