Help! I am the main applicant on a subclass 475 visa application. I have received my state sponsorship and just recently lodged my application. However, my husband suffered a heart attack 3 weeks ago. He is recovering really well but we are now panicking that this will mean we will fail the medicals and not get our visa. He has been really fit with no past heart problems so this came as a real shock. He has had 2 stents fitted so should make a really good recovery. I would appreciate any advice from anyone who has had/passed a medical with a similar condition. I know we will probably not need to get the medicals done until about February time so he will have made a full recovery by then but just really wanted some advice from anyone who has been in a similar situation?

Hi, I had a heart attack a few years ago and have just had our medicals. I got letters from the GP and specialist which both confirmed that I am in fit and healthy and have had no episodes since heart attack happened. Not sure of the results yet. However I have read various threads on here and as long as you have been well and fit for a 2 year period this is good. Maybe worth asking an agent a few questions. Do a search where all the threads are listed and put heart attack in the subject box. Hopefully there will be some which can answer your question. Good luck.
