Another visa approved :-)
Hi Everyone,
Just to help those waiting, it does happen. I got the famous yellow
envelope this morning, PR visa was approved on the 9th September.
Feels kind of strange, we have been waiting for so long but it only
really started to get depressing the last few weeks, you know the
story, can't help thinking about it but still must get on with the
normal 9-5 stuff. Anyway, thank god that's over and we can get on with
the exciting stuff, booking flights, planning stop overs and of course
the tour of Oz!!! Planning to go towards the end of November, staying
in Sydney for a couple of years as we have friends there but looking
to settle somewhere different, but we'll have more of an idea after
the touring.
Austimeline info will be updated ASAP, but for the record: Applied May
2002, Police/Medical Request April 2003, Bond Request/Deposit July
2003, Visa granted Sept 2003.
One thing I did notice was the visa was granted by a different case
officer and it was sent to my old address even though I had sent a
change of circumstances form and emailed my old case officer (who
didn't reply). Maybe they are going through some changes at DIMA?
May I just finish by saying how helpful this forum has been, I didn't
use an agent so this was pretty much my complete source of info so
thanks everyone.
Now where did I put that bottle of champers?!!!
Cheers,
Chad & Sharon
