Re: After 17 Mnths Wait I Need Some Reassurence!!!!
Hi JAJ,
I don't think IT Fast Track is applicable to everyone. I am applying on the IT track.
I have waited for almost 10 months. I did not send to Adelaide though because I
applied in July 2001 when I still need to send to AHC in Malaysia. The officer told
me IT Fast Track is only applicable if the applicant has a Australian degree.

We've had this discussion before. Your officer appears to be making a unilateral
decision that is outside DIMIA policy.

Not true about the Australian degree. It is true that not all IT skills are
fast_tracked, they must be on the MODL to qualify.

My understanding is that it applies to all those with an ACS assessment, whether
MODL or not.
But I can't see it lasting for ever, the only reason it's surviving is that to
regular-track ICT would involve DIMIA admitting that its policy change in January
2001 was a mistake. No one should make the assumption that just because your visa
application is being fast-tracked, there are tons of jobs waiting for you in
Australia.

Re: After 17 Mnths Wait I Need Some Reassurence!!!!
to get back to the topic,
I know that it sounds mean, but when I feel low and fed up I think of those who are in worse situations. Just look at those poor souls who prepared 110 points application and now are running around like headless chickens (I like how this sounds!) to get 5 more, or other unlucky guys who cannot even enroll. At least your in the game bird, a few more laps and you're through.
