Hi,

Have just got a CO

But they have also asked for ' contact details & permission to contact ????(sons father) in relation to the custody arrangements and permission to migrate for ???? (son).

Have sent them a stat dec from sons father giving permission for son to emigrate.

Is this normal has anyone else had this????

Do they just want name, address and phone number?????

[Hi Tracey, I think it is normal for them to request that if it is not already on the stat dec. They asked me for custody documents aswell but I am hoping they will accept a stat dec signed before a solicitor and worded correctly.Don't panic!!

Hi,

Have already sent them a stat dec from sons father giving permission to go. With regards to custody arrangements and access we dont have anything in writing. My son has always lived with me and sees his dad on alternative weekends and extra days in the school holidays. This has just been a verbal agreement for the last 10 years.....

They have asked for contact details so i dont think i have to do anything. I suppose they will just contact him.

I trust your Stat Dec must be sworn before a solicitor as you don't seem to have any legal documents.

My husband also has been asked a Stat Dec signed by his ex-wife giving permission to his minor child to migrate. He hopes to get the doc in a couple of days. This doc has been asked by our C.O.in spite of a court custody order he already has.

Stat dec was signed by sons father at the magistrates court and witnessed by the Justice of the Peace. Dont have any court orders in place.

This is probably the reason why your C.O asked for address and tel no. They may not call the son's father but they need those details to test genuineness.
