Default Activating 190 Visa?

Hi my family and I have been granted our 190 visa for WA. We hope to activate the visa in a couple of months by going on holiday, and then moving over later in the year.

This may seem like a silly question but, how is the visa actually activated? What is the process? We are hoping to holiday on the East Coast so do we need to fly into WA first? Do we need to stay there for a certain time etc?? TIA

All you need to do to validate your visa is to land anywhere in Australia and pass through border control. Once you have done that you could turn around and fly home again - there is no minimum stay, but every person who was issued a visa needs to make the trip
