Default ACS RPL Application

I am hoping to migrate to Australia on a Skilled visa but to do this i need to join the ACS. As I do not have a degree i am having to fill in the RPL application forms. I am finding it extremely difficult to work out what they are looking for and find myself repeating a lot of my CV.

Has anybody else had this trouble. Has anybody got any examples of a filled in form that they would be willing to email me.

Thanks in advance for any help!!!!

Lee, it seems really difficult now but once you get started, there will be no stopping you!! I used this example to help me get started.
I tried to write something for each section, some sections were only 400 words, others were 1500. I started by looking at the sub-topics and writing a few words to remind myself about what I knew or what I had done to learn that topic. When I had been through the whole lot, I went back and started fleshing it out.
I ended up with 16,077 words ( ) and it took me about a month and 100 hours work from start to finish.

Good luck!

PS Mine was rejected but don't let that put you off!! It was due to a lack of 'relevant professional IT experience'.

Hi wmoore, I wish I had found this example when I wrote mine. It was very tough to write and it took me a few weeks to complete. I also ended up with around 16 000 words. I also ran a search on BE and the info I found was very helpful. Try that Lee.

My husband also has to go through this process - tried that link but
couldn't get it to work. It sounds really helpful...is there any way an
attachment/document could be emailed?

I too am grateful for any help as we are just starting out! (I have got all
the forms done for my skills assessment which thankfully seems far less
complicated than what the ACS require for RPL

Many thanks
Zoe

Goes without saying

Oh BTW Lee, don't 'fill in the form' (apart from contact details, etc), just print the rest on plain old ordinary paper.

Leeo,

I have the same problem. No IT degree and my 2-year diploma was deemed not equivalent to Australian standards.

Anyway, the route I'm taking now is microsoft certification (MCSD) which according to my ACS assessor, is enough to support for my qualification and experience.

If you are a developer or a system admin, you might want to check it out.
