ACS Group B changes

ACS Group B changes
Hi,
I read recently that they were changing the Group B assessment in that a lot of industry wide certifications were to be ignored.
Have these changes already gone in? Or when are they planned to take affect?

If they were going to take effect it would have been by Friday this week, however it seems that the certifications must have had some heavy lobbying power because the latest news is that it won't happen.
