Default ACS assessment query for 263111 Computer Network and Systems Engineer

Hi Expats,
I'm in ICT (Computer Network) field since from last 15 years and hold the following education and certifications. I want's to apply for 263111 anzsco code so my question is that, shall i apply via RPL route or Just simple vendor Certification (CCNP) ? Which pathway i can get maximum years of experience plus education?

Vendor Certifications:
Cisco CCNA in 2007
Cisco CCNP in 2009

You need to confirm which vendor certifications are recognised by ACS.

Checking their skills assessment guide (https://www.acs.org.au/content/dam/a...Aug%202018.pdf) page 10 does not show CCNA as recognised, although the CCNP is. However, it also goes on to say that vendor certificates are recognised as "graduate outcomes of an ICT major at the AQF Diploma level".

If you look this up on the summary criteria (https://www.acs.org.au/content/dam/a...20-%202017.pdf) you will see that you need "5 years relevant ICT work experience completed in the last 10 years OR 6 years relevant ICT work experience completed anytime in past work history" to be recognised as skilled, and only once this criteria is met can you claim points for skilled experience. You are deemed to have met the requirements once you have both the qualification and experience, even if the experience was gained before the qualification provided it is at a suitable level.

ACS provide lots of information - you should have a read of what evidence you will need to provide.

Dear Sparkles, I already read all these information, my only confusion & doubt is that if i apply normal vendor certification pathway ( i meant not RPL ) then ACS will give me 15 points ( 8-10 years ) and for education 10 points ( My CCNP as "graduate outcomes of an ICT major at the AQF Diploma level" ) ?
By searching alot on internet i came to know many cases like this one ==> migrationdesk.com/threads/acs-positive-2-years-2-months-can-i-apply-for-eoi.41661/
Where somebody has applied ACS via vendor certifications but their experience has been deducted.

I'm only afraid about deduction of experience, would you please confirm this ? Thanks in advance

You need a combination of qualification and experience to be deemed skilled, and experience used to show you are skilled cannot then be counted for points.

If you have 15 years of verifiable experience, and use the option of '6 years experience at any time' then that should leave enough to claim 15 points. But only you know if all your experience is at a suitable level, and all verifiable.

If you have any doubts, maybe contact a registered migration agent, or ACS, but all the information you need should be on the ACS website.

My first company has been closed in 2004, and i have only experience letter from them, no any salary slip as i was getting cash at that time. Shall i suppose to include that experience or not?

If you include all your experience but it cannot be validated then ACS will disregard it possibly, but if you don't include it then it will definitely not count.

You can include it, but if the experience letter (employment statement) does not conform to their requirements then they will disregard it.

An alternative is to find a former work colleague from the company, who was preferably in a superior position, to write you a witnessed statutory declaration, but that is a tall order.

Regards,

Richard

@Richard_Gregan.

Hi All,
I applied for ACS skill assessment on August 20th for anzsco code under 263111 Computer Network and Systems Engineer. Today I received the reply from ACS: ''Your qualifications have been assessed as not meeting the ACS educational requirements for this application type"We would like to provide you the opportunity to change your application type to a Recognition of Prior Learning application (RPL).

I have 16+ years work experience in IT Infrastructure and uploaded followings to ACS.
Below are my employment history and vendor certificates.

JUN ’2016-Present - Senior System Administrator (2 years)
Jan ’2010-May ’2016 - Windows System Administrator (6 years )
Jan’1999 - May’2008 - Senior System Administrator (8 years)

Since I want to clam the points for vendor certificate and experience I have shared my Microsoft vendor certificate transcript access.

Microsoft® Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) Cloud Platform and Infrastructure January 12, 2017
Microsoft® Certified IT Professional Enterprise Administrator on Windows Server 2008 (MCITP) January 29, 2014
Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE): Windows 2000 October 2, 2003

1.Certified copy of passport
2.Updated Resume
3.Microsoft Vendor Certificates - PDF (True copy not certified)
4. Microsoft Vendor Certificates Transcript Access URL & code file converted to PDF
5.Employment References - 3 companies (total 16 Years Experience) - True copy certified by Australian embassy - Qatar
Moreover, most of my responsibilities are Managing, Supporting, Administrating, Implementation Microsoft and Vmware Applications and hardware related to IT infrastructure.

I just want to know why ACS requested me to submit the RPL since I do have valid vendor certificate and relevant work experience. please advice.

PS - I was not looking for information on an ACS assessment and I do not have a question similar to yours. If you have questions related to the RPL process, ACS assessments, etc then ask in open forum. TIA
