Urgent advice sought - Immigration & Visa
I am making enquiries on behalf of a high net worth individual who is seeking to return to Australia following his 3 month stint earlier this year but on a more longer term basis. He wants to study but the art school is NOT a university so they have said he cannot go on a student visa but he is doing at least a one year course. This also means that it does not give him time to do the ‘agricultural work’ required to extend to a two year visa so please can anyone advise what options are available, or at least point us in the right direction?
He has many questions, more than a tourist or someone going to work there, such as how can he take money in, can he buy a house, what “bond” is required for things such as healthcare, how he would go about emigrating etc. - This is not a usual visa application but someone who might want to invest and be resident in Australia.
I have approached the Australian High Commission seeking assistance but they have stated we should approach a specialist migration consultant but so far this has proved inconclusive.
All suggestions gratefully welcomed.
Thank you

Not a lot to go on there. What is his age and nationality? Which school is he trying to attend?

Apologies and granted - At this stage this is an information gathering exercise but to help he is aged 23 and is British.
I am unsure of the name of the Art school, as my friend is away for a week but I do know his course starts on 28 January.

Study and investment are two very different paths to take. A Working Holiday visa only allows study for up to four months. A student visa doesn’t require you to attend a university course. Having the name of the course and institution will help determine whether a student visa is an option.

Predominantly it will be for study - a one year art course - I will post these details as soon as I have them so thanks for your patience so far.
