457 visa - do I need a police check and medical, or not?
Hi all,
Can anyone help clarify what I will need as evidence for a 457 visa? I am finding the immi.gov advice a bit confusing. I am applying from the UK, with my sponsor in Oz currently getting the necessary approval for the job. That is expected any day now and then I will need to make my part of the application.
I'm trying to get everything together now, and am keen to avoid agent fees if I can, however the immi.gov advice for 457 visa applicants says in SOME cases/for some jobs you need police check and medical, and for others you don't. I just want to be clear before I arrange and pay for them.
Can anyone make sense of this for me, or point me to a guide/previous thread that may explain this.

working with kids or in medical environments are more likely to need police/medical checks for a 457 visa. what is the job (code) you are being sponsored for?
