410 retirement visa p[rescription charges
I have recently been given some information from a post 1998 410 visa holder who lives in australia. He writes
As a 410 visa holder we are simply seen to be here on a long holiday and, as a foreigner in the UK would, not entitled to any part of the Australian system except Income Tax. (I do get the UK rate on a prescription at the chemist as this is an agreement between the two countries, but that is all).
Does anyone know about this receiprical agreement? I have spent hours on the net searching for the best price for prescription drugs for a pre-existing condition but no-one has mentioned it. Please give me any information you may have to cover this advice? He must get something out of it or he would not have mentioned it. Perhaps a chemoist in australia would have the answer are there any out there?

Hi Yvonne,
There is some information on this site.

I am going to stock up on drugs (legal prescription ones) before I go.
