309 Granted, Now what???

Hiya
I have to leave Oz so my visa can be granted. Couple of questions I have are, if you dont mind....
1) What do i need to do in order to start working? Is there like a certificate or similar I will have to declare to any prospective employer? or is it automatic in the sense that there is some fandangled government computer system that an employer can consult, Or maybe my grant letter?
2) Where can I go that doesn`t require a visa, NZ is obviously closest but dont need the grief of applying for another visa. I think Singapore, as they do not require visa, or am I wrong?
Thanks peeps
Tim

1. Your visa should be sufficient evidence of work rights. Employers can check with DIAC. However, as your status in Australia is still temporary, some employers won't want to hire you, especially for permanent jobs.
If you now qualify as a "long term relationship" (2 years together if you have a child, 3 years otherwise) I'd recommend you consider reapplying for the spouse visa in order to get a permanent visa. No, you can't speed it up any other way if you were not in a long term relationship when you applied.
2. What countries you need a visa for depends on your passport. NZ does waive the visa requirement for Australian permanent residents, but you won't be one for some time unless you follow suggestion above. In any case, if you have a British citizen passport, you can visit NZ visa free.
