Hi everyone, i was told that 175 visas that were not on the CSL won't be getting processed until July 2010.

I lodged my application im march 2009 and my occupation is not on the CSL.

However, about 2 weeks ago i checked my visa status and it said that my application had been "processed further".

What does this mean because i was under he impression that my visa won't even be considered until July?

Is the a chance i may be getting a CO soon?

If anyone has a crystal ball they will be able to tell you. Otherwise its just one of thsoe questions no-one can possibly know the answer to.

Hi Paddy,

Pollyana is right, no one knows when DIAC will start processing non-CSL applicants, and as they have said themselves it is 'not likely they will start this financial year' (ending June 30, 2010).

However to temper your enthousiasm a bit, the status 'processed further' only means someone has a look at your file, and possibly attached information. For me that happened after 1 week of lodgment as I e-mailed them some documents and those were attached. I thought.. yay.. but then it still took another 6 months before a CO was assigned (and I was on the CSL). For others this status has sometimes come up after they logded a PLE.

As Sylvia said, it could be anything from you will have a visa tomorrow to your application has been printed and put in a filing cabinet marked "July 2010". Without having a mole in the ASPC building there isn't anyone who can tell you.
