Visa Timing Question
Hello,
My wife is planning on starting the visa process in late July and has 140 points so should get selected quite quickly. She has already gotten her NZ nursing registration completed. I would imagine the whole process should take approximately 4 months to complete. My question is does anyone know how long you have to move to NZ once your visa has been approved? I can't find anything on the NZ immigration site specifying when you must arrive. Thanks in advance for any help.

Re: Visa Timing Question
think it depends on what sort of visa you are obtaining.

mind you doesn't state how long you have to enter the country but I think its 12mths from date of visa issue

Re: Visa Timing Question
Hi MrsFychan,
Thank you for the info. I haven't seen anything official but 12 months sounds right. We probably would actually be looking at a 4 month delay from my wife getting a visa based on long term job shortage (nurse) to actually moving to NZ.

Got our Residents Visa via nurse route and it says we have 12 months to activate from date of issue.

Hi azakeen1980,
That's great. Thanks for the response. We may see you in Christchurch as that's where we're planning on moving. Where are you going to be working if you don't mind me asking?
