Default geting residense

i am going to newzealand on the 28th, i have a job there and i have 2 kids and a wife, i am 29 and 30 in july, my wife is same age and 30 in october, i have heard it is alot easier to get residence if your under 30 is this true? i have stared my residence and been picket out the migrant pool, what do you think my chances are?

There are a number of factors but given that you have a job in New Zealand and have been selected from the pool your chances should be good.

I'd say almost guaranteed you have the job offer, one assumes from an accredited employer, subject to police checks and medicals what can go wrong??

...ah but how many threads have we read where medicals have been a problem?

I assume you got a job offer subject to a work visa, which I assume you have right? If you do you can (and should) re-use the medicals and police checks. It'll save you money and remove those barriers...

...or did you accept a job without a work visa?

just being 30 isn't a problem. you fall into a different age bracket so you get less points I think - but not much less - plus with a job offer it will be a drop in the ocean I think - job offer gets you lots of points (provided it complies to the requirements for the visa).

yer thats what ive been told, the firm im working for are desprate for me to get there got loads of work for me, ive got a house out there and rerady to rent and ive even bought a car, the guy im renting the house of is moving to oz for few years and he is selling his car. he flies out day i land so its there waiting for me!!!! ower police reports are clean but havent done the medicals thas only thing that worries me, were all fit without any problems but younever know
