Allocation of Case Officer - how long???
Hi, We have received a letter confirming that our ITA has been accepted for consideration on 7th May 2009, but they say that they hope to allocate a case officer within four months and then expect to make a decision in one to three months following. Just wondering if anyone has experienced this lately and how long it took? Thanks

I am assuming that you haven't got a job offer.
We lodged our ITA 4th Feb and we have just been assigned a CO - so approx. wait time is 3 months and I think that that is about average. If you look at people's signatures this can also give a guide. Also you can check for updates on NZIS website here http://www.immigration.govt.nz/branc...ssingtimes.htm.
Best of luck - this is now the most frustrating part - waiting to be assigned, just try and be patient & if you get a job offer in the meantime then let NZ house know as this will speed up the process.

It all depends on them, we were allocated a case officer the very next day, have a look at the time line below, ours was very very quick.
Good luck

Hi,
It took 13 weeks for us to get from ITA lodgement to getting a visa officer (that was without a job offer). Once we had a case officer it was really quick to get the interview and then approval in principle. Keep an eye on the processing time on the INZ London Branch website which is updated weekly (sometimes!!).
