Default Advice please

We came out on temp work visas , and our visa agent said to get our PR visas
we would need to send passports to London. Surely would it would be easier and safer to process PR visas in NZ?

Surely your agent is mistaken. You are already in New Zealand. It would seem to me that you would deal with the local NZIS office. Is there a NZIS office in Hamilton? If so, give them a visit and see what they say.

We were in NZ and based in Wellington but still had to deal with London, including sending passports back to London. Crazy situation but if you are allocated a uk immigration officer you are stuck with it. We tried to change but they would not allow it. All came good in the end just bit frustrating.
Good luck

Hi Ian, there is an Immigration office in the Westpac building on Victoria Street, check in with them, they should be able to help
