Default Advice from Electricians

Hello there

Could someone who has been through the process give us some advice.

What qualifications are acceptable by NZQA and the electrical registration board for immigrating on the skilled migrant, EOI route? Any that are definitely NOT accepted?

Any help would be appreciated, thank you

Hi

Been looking into this as this is the route i intend to take. It seems like they will take nearly any qualification, but you will still have to do some sort of practical exam once you are there. I think you can also get a temporary permit to work (you are meant to be supervised), while you get your license.

I was going to use my ONC, NVQ's, apprenticeship and any other old courses I could find. You need to look on this site www.ewrb.govt.nz and somewhere is a list of all the qualifications and what exams you will need to sit.

Let me know if you find out anything more, as I have only just started to investigate

Cheers

Bert
